Edibles Coming Soon to the State of Minnesota
If you are new to the whole world of cannabis, then you may be shocked at the sheer variety of products that are available to you on the market today. Of course, the number of products that you will have available to you varies from state to state. In some states, where legislation surrounding cannabis is much more progressive, you may find a plethora of marijuana products that you can buy in dispensaries in your area. However, other states are much more strict about the type of products that can be sold in dispensaries, meaning that you won’t really have the same amount of products available to you.
It is pretty frustrating that we are experiencing such a disparity in the types of stuff that you can buy depending on where you live. I would love to see a future for us cannabis lovers in the United States no matter which state we live in. For people who are living in the great state of Minnesota, there may be some good news headed your way when it comes to cannabis. Medical marijuana patients and pro-cannabis organizations in the state of Minnesota have been pushing for more medical marijuana options for a long time. Now, we are finally seeing some of the results from all of that hard work. A new year means that there will be legislative and political changes in different states, and Minnesota is one of those. Smokable cannabis will soon be legal and available in medical marijuana dispensaries all over the state, as a new law will go into effect in March of this year. This means that medical marijuana patients will now be able to smoke cannabis buds and whole flowers, which is undoubtedly the prefered method of cannabis consumption for many patients across the state.

However, it is worth mentioning that Minnesota has not legalized marijuana usage on a recreational level. Only patients that have obtained their medical marijuana card will be permitted to use cannabis in their everyday lives. There are certain bills that have been brought up to allow adult recreational use of cannabis in Minnesota, but none of those have passed so far. House File 600 is a piece of legislation that moves for such a reality, but it has been left untouched for quite some time and it is not expected to pass through the Senate. So why am I telling you all of this? Well, it is important to stay up to date on all of the new laws and regulations surrounding cannabis from state to state, as this is a movement that is very important to me and many others. One of the best parts about this new legislation coming in March is that it gives medical marijuana patients the option to use medical marijuana how they see fit. Both edibles and smokable cannabis are some people’s prefered method of cannabis consumption, and the cannabis industry in Minnesota was severely lacking when it came to providing patients with a variety of products to use. In addition, smokable cannabis and edibles are generally much cheaper than buying cannabis oil or tinctures.

In Minnesota, the price of marijuana is generally pretty expensive, especially when compared to other states. This also means that the price of renewing a medical marijuana card is also fairly pricey. Allowing dispensaries to sell smokable cannabis is a great step in the right direction for Minnesota, especially because it means that prices will be more manageable for medical patients that are operating on a tight budget.
